At The Golf Course – TQ/L1

Just as a good walk in a park can develop positive routines and socialising opportunities, there is something very special about walking a dog on a golf course. The fresh smells, the variety of scenery with nature all around.

The Akita loves to be in different surroundings and the golf course offers a perfect environment to break the normal routines of regular walks. Akita dogs like variety as much as they enjoy regularity in their exercise routine. The Akita can become board easily so a regular change of scenery around a golf course provides a great backdrop for exercise variety and days out spectating to provide a special event into their lives.

Zeus Golf Training – Finishing his Walk at the 18th

Preparation and training will be required for most Akita Dogs on the golf course environment and especially when visiting a golf day or tournament. The Akita will have to abide by the course rules on fouling and be comfortable with large amounts of people spectating. Petting will be requested by people who do not know the Akita, so positive temperament will be called for from admiring spectators. Good Akita manners and ‘Etiquet’ is a must on golf spectator days and when walking amongst golfers for a great day of dog walking.

Training for Golf Summary
The golf course makes a great backdrop to take some pictures from your day out to send to your friends and family to keep in touch. Akita Dogs love exercise and being outdoors but they need to ‘Temperature’ adjust on hotter days due to their double coat and like regular breaks for rests.
